The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services to the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency reported it's alarmed about the substantial number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose from the Integrated sassa status Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your high number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office devoted to service the area regularly. The company point produced for intervention encounters a large influx of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it hard to the Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, sassa status check SASSA will mobilise far more assets to allow the servicing of all prospects and enhance entry to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
